Dorin Recean’s mandate as a member of the Board of Directors of state-owned enterprise MoldATSA has ended. He was removed from the position by an order issued by Moldova’s Public Property Agency (APP) on August 26, 2026, Telegraph.md reports.
“Under Public Property Agency Order No. 349 of August 26, 2026, Mr. Dorin Recean was removed from his position as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. The order entered into force on the date it was signed,” the APP said in a response.
As a result, Recean’s mandate on the MoldATSA Board ended on August 26, when the order took effect.
At the same time, the agency confirmed that Dorin Recean remains a member of the Board of Directors of the market operator Bursa Internațională a Moldovei S.A. The APP clarified that his position there does not result from a recent appointment by the agency.
The Public Property Agency also said that, as of now, it does not intend or plan to appoint Dorin Recean to the governing bodies of state-owned enterprises or joint-stock companies in which the state holds shares.
Recean announced his withdrawal from politics on October 3, 2025, saying he would not lead the future government. Later, on December 10, he was appointed by President Maia Sandu as special envoy for development and resilience. On June 15, he became an independent, unpaid member of MoldATSA’s Board of Directors.
