Starting October 15, 2025, all drivers crossing the Latvian border with Russia or Belarus must pre-register their vehicles in an online booking system before entry.

The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) informs Moldovan transport operators that, according to Latvian authorities, drivers will enter and exit through the “Grebneva,” “Terehova,” and “Pāternieki” border points only with a valid reservation in the Electronic Queue Registration System (ERRS).

Drivers can register on the platforms www.lvborder.lv or www.lvrobeza.lv, available since October 1. The booking fee is €9.30 per vehicle, and drivers can reserve a slot up to 30 days before travel.

The rule applies to all vehicles — trucks, buses, cars, and motorcycles — except for regular passenger transport.

By launching this system, Latvia joins Estonia and Lithuania in using a border appointment mechanism to improve traffic management and reduce waiting times.

The ANTA urges drivers and transport operators to register early to avoid congestion at border checkpoints.
