Driving licenses issued in the Republic of Moldova and Spain will be mutually recognized

The government approved an agreement between Moldova and Spain on mutual recognition of driving licenses issued in both countries. This document will remove bureaucratic obstacles for citizens live, work, or travel between the two countries. Citizens will now have the right to convert their driving licenses without theoretical or practical exams.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, saying, “It is good news for our diaspora in Spain. We should continue negotiations and sign similar agreements with all the countries where our diaspora is present.”

So far, Moldova has signed four agreements with Israel, Turkey, Lithuania, and Italy, regulating the conversion and mutual recognition of driving licenses.
