Fragments of a drone that flew over southern Republic of Moldova were found in Tudora, Stefan Voda District. Local residents reported the discovery at 09:55.
The fragments fell about 500 meters from the state border. Bomb disposal experts are working at the scene to assess and neutralize the object.
The Border Police of the Republic of Moldova urged citizens not to approach suspicious objects and to immediately notify authorities.
On the morning of March 17, authorities in Chisinau reported that they detected an unidentified aerial object, similar to a Shahed drone, at around 01:30, approximately 200 meters from the border, on the route Iaski, Ukraine – Crocmaz, Republic of Moldova.
The drone flew at an altitude of up to 150 meters, entered Moldovan airspace, and moved toward the locality of Caplani.
