Chisinau, October 24 – Environment Minister Sergiu Lazarencu announced his resignation on Friday morning during a live press conference broadcast by RLIVE.MD.
“In the last 18 months, I have had the honor of leading the Ministry of Environment. I have been the third environment minister in the PAS government. Thank you all for your support,” Lazarencu said.
He expressed gratitude to his colleagues and family, ending his statement on a personal note:
“Last but not least, I want to thank my family for supporting me. Iannis, I promise dad will take you to play football, to the football field and for ice cream.”
Lazarencu did not provide details about the reasons for his departure or his future plans.
