Former Moldovan MP Fiodor Gagauz, who has announced his intention to run for Governor of Gagauzia, said he held a “substantive discussion” on September 15 with Kim Zapfel, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
The two discussed the upcoming Gagauzia elections, scheduled for November 15, as well as their importance for the autonomous region and the country as a whole.
“I am convinced that these elections must mark the beginning of a new stage in Gagauzia’s development. That is why the attention of international partners to the elections in the autonomous region is particularly important,” Fiodor Gagauz said.
