Four candidates for the position of Director General of Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) will take part in an interview on September 22, according to IPN.
The decision was made by the Supervisory Board of Teleradio-Moldova.
The four candidates competing for the position are Andrei Zapsa, Ecaterina Cheptanaru, Sergiu Sandulescu and Dorin Scobioala. They are expected to present their vision and management plans for the seven-year mandate.
The interview was initially scheduled to take place in July, but the Intelligence and Security Service requested additional time to conduct further checks on the candidates.
Negative assessments were subsequently issued regarding Andrei Zapsa and Sergiu Sandulescu. However, the members of the Supervisory Board reinstated both candidates in the competition after hearing their arguments. The contents of the documents were not made public.
The position of Director General of Teleradio-Moldova has been vacant since Vlad Turcanu resigned on May 18, 2026, following the controversy surrounding the scores awarded by Moldova’s jury at the Eurovision Song Contest.
