Four economic agents have received import licenses for sunflower seeds. Who are they?

Four economic agents, including Bel-Mol-Agro Ltd., Trans Oil Refinery JSC, Danube Oil Company JSC, and Sunflower JSC, received import licenses for sunflower seeds on Tuesday, May 7. The representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFA) announced it.

“At the Import Licensing Commission meeting for certain categories of cereals and sunflower seeds, held on May 3, 2024, it was unanimously voted to grant import licenses for sunflower seeds. The following economic operators were granted licenses based on their monthly processing capacities,” the MAFA states.

According to the data of the Customs Service, from April 1 to May 2, 2024, about 54,790 tons of sunflower seeds for sunflower oil production were exported from the country. Sunflower oil processors in the country delivered 7,600 tons of seed.
