Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov announced that all EU member states support Moldova’s European path. She made the statement after holding several bilateral meetings with her counterparts on the sidelines of the informal General Affairs Council (GAC) in Copenhagen.
Gherasimov said the talks focused on Moldova’s political realities and the EU accession process. “We discussed developments in the region and at home, the challenges we face on the eve of the September 28 parliamentary elections, our reform agenda, and the next steps in the accession process,” she stated.
She thanked European partners for their friendship, openness, and support, stressing, “Moldova is not alone, and our European journey is fully supported by all EU member states. This is the message conveyed to me today by my counterparts from Italy, France, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and Hungary.”
