Good news! Chisinau is a finalist city in the European Youth Capital 2027 competition. When will the result be announced?

In March, the European Youth Forum announced a shortlist of finalist cities competing for the European Youth Capital 2027 title, placing Chisinau on the list. In November, each city will present its projects to the European jury, showing how they plan to engage young people, support youth-led initiatives, and create sustainable opportunities for youth participation in civic and community life.

The European Youth Capital title celebrates a city’s commitment to empowering young people. Winning cities amplify youth voices, promote active involvement in decision-making, and provide resources for social, educational, and career development. The title also strengthens the city’s reputation across Europe as a hub for youth-focused events, fostering inclusivity and cross-cultural exchange.

The European Youth Capital designation brings numerous benefits. It provides a platform to launch impactful projects, encouraging young people to shape their communities actively. Cities holding the title organize a wide events range, including workshops, seminars, art exhibitions, festivals, and sports competitions, all aimed at addressing young people’s interests, needs, and aspirations. The title also attracts international visitors, boosts tourism, and drives investment in the city’s youth-oriented infrastructure.
