Eugenia Gutsul, the governor of Gagauzia, who is linked to the fugitive pro-Russian oligarch Ilan Shor, called on U.S. President Donald Trump to “stop all support” for Moldova, IPN reports.
She published her letter in English on X (formerly Twitter).
Dear Mr. Trump (@realDonaldTrump),
As the Bashkan of #Gagauzia I’m asking you to stop any support for the criminal regime of #PAS and Maia #Sandu in the Republic of #Moldova.@realDonaldTrump @PressSec pic.twitter.com/wgZQgoysoZ

In her letter to Trump, Gutsul claims that the ruling “Action and Solidarity” party and President Maia Sandu have allegedly imposed “political terrorism” in the country by banning the pro-Russian “Shor” party. In reality, the party was banned for illegal financing and voter bribery.
