Foreign language students will receive certificates verifying their proficiency in Romanian. High school students with a B2 level can apply for an automatic grade of 10 on the Baccalaureate exam.
The Education Code will include these regulations, and a draft amendment has already passed its first reading in Parliament.
Under the new rules, national standards will be established to assess knowledge and communication skills in the state language. Authorities aim to enhance education and expand job market opportunities for minorities.

Implementing this initiative requires over 191,000 lei, which the Ministry of Education will allocate for developing exam materials and evaluating written and oral tests.
Each year, about 400 citizens will participate in Romanian language proficiency assessments.
