The Republic of Moldova and the United States will enhance parliamentary cooperation, with several U.S. congressmen expected to visit Chisinau to provide expertise. Speaker Igor Grosu announced following a series of meetings with American lawmakers during his visit to the United States.
In discussions with U.S. congressmen, Grosu emphasized that reforms remain a top priority for the Moldovan government, particularly in the context of the country’s European integration efforts.
“The unwavering support of the United States helps us modernize our villages and cities, strengthen state institutions, and solidify our role as a strategic partner in the region. Despite the challenges we face — an energy crisis, the Kremlin’s hybrid war, criminal networks, and resistance within the justice system — reforms remain our focus, especially as we pursue our European path,” Grosu stated.
