Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu says actor and influencer Emilian Cretu has not discussed with him the possibility of running for Moldova’s presidency after being asked whether he would support such a candidacy.
Grosu avoided giving a direct answer on whether he would vote for Cretu, stressing that choosing a presidential candidate is a serious responsibility.
“He hasn’t discussed it with me. It’s his right. He will decide whether to run or not. As for my vote, you can imagine that I will think very carefully before deciding whether to support someone. It’s a very responsible decision,” Grosu said.
Earlier, Emilian Cretu revealed that he is considering running for President of the Republic of Moldova. In an interview, the actor and social media influencer said he is interested in entering the race but currently lacks a team capable of supporting a presidential campaign.
