The production company Realitatea Film ranks among the beneficiaries of the 2025 annual funding competition organized by the National Cinematography Center (CNC). The CNC Council approved the decision through Decision No. 19/25 of December 4, 2025, after the Ministry of Culture increased the institution’s budget.

Under this decision, CNC granted financial support to two projects developed by Realitatea Film. The feature-length documentary project “Import/Export MD” received 240,000 lei in development funding, while the feature-length fiction film “The Winemaker’s Daughter” secured financing of 1,582,848 lei.

The funding forms part of the CNC’s 2025 annual competition to finance film projects, which aims to support the most relevant fiction and documentary productions. Initially, the National Cinematography Center financed nine film projects, including national productions and international co-productions, with a total budget of 13.3 million lei.

Later, the Ministry of Culture increased the session’s budget by an additional 3.3 million lei from internal sources, including funds from the Program for Attracting Foreign Investment in Film Production, as part of efforts to stimulate the development of Moldova’s film industry. Following this increase, CNC financed four additional film projects based on the scores they obtained in the competition.

“We welcome the increase of the CNC fund. It allowed our projects, which accumulated the required score in this year’s competition, to receive financial support and continue development with greater certainty,” said Realitatea Film Director Sergiu Scobioala.

The National Cinematography Center organized the funding competition with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova and financed it from the state budget.
