Moldovan authorities, together with external partners, are making plans to build a corruption-free future for Moldova. Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) participated in the first session of the Regional Conference “Building Integrity from Within: Strengthening Internal Control Procedures for a Corruption-Free Future.”
The Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) organized the event with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Chisinau. The meeting brought together integrity and anti-corruption experts and officials from Moldova, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Montenegro.
Among the participants of the event were Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Daniella Misail-Nichitin, Ambassador of Sweden Karatina Fried, Advisor in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for European Integration – Victoria Lanovenco and DCAF representative Teodora Fuior.

The organizers stated that the conference focused on the role of internal control structures within interior ministries in supporting national efforts to combat corruption.
