Gymnasts from seven countries, including the Republic of Moldova, will participate in the International Tournament “Chișinău Rhythmic Stars.” About 300 gymnasts will compete at the event on April 26-28. The competition will be held in the FMF “Futsal Arena” in Ciorescu commune, Chisinau city.
The International Tournament “Chisinau Rhythmic Stars” is at its first edition and is organized in partnership with the Chisinau City Hall and the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport.
“About 300 gymnasts from clubs and sports schools from the Republic of Moldova and abroad (Romania, Ukraine, Israel, Ireland, Austria, and Luxembourg) will participate in the event, which aims to popularize rhythmic gymnastics in the Republic of Moldova, identify and select the most talented athletes from the municipality of Chisinau, develop the national competition system, exchange experience and establish international relations with the federations abroad”, announces the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Sport of the Republic of Moldova (FGRS).

At the competition, athletes will compete in age categories and various events.
Rhythmic gymnastics is an Olympic sports event practiced by girls aged between 5 and 18. In the Republic of Moldova, this sport is highly promoted and is practiced both as a competitive sport and by amateurs in public sports schools and private clubs.
