Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Christmas celebrated according to the old calendar, stressing the importance of togetherness, traditions, and faith during the holiday season.
“Christmas brings us closer to one another and reminds us of traditions and faith,” Ceban wrote.
The mayor wished people peace of mind and joyful moments with their loved ones, highlighting the spiritual meaning of the holiday.
“May the light of the holidays bring peace to your hearts and beautiful moments with those dear to you. I wish you blessed holidays filled with warmth, joy, and harmony. Merry Christmas and a New Year full of achievements,” Ceban added.
Orthodox Christians who follow the Julian calendar celebrate Christmas on January 7.
