The European Union will support the government in Chisinau to overcome a potential energy crisis, EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeiks stated during a program on Radio Moldova.
Mazeiks highlighted Moldova’s significant progress in the energy sector and affirmed the EU’s continued assistance during the cold season, as it has over the past three years, providing support worth €240 million.
“The energy sector is crucial for us, and Moldova has made substantial progress. We are ready to work with the government and support it during this crisis. However, I believe Gazprom bears responsibility for any potential crises. Over the last three winters, we have supported Moldova with €240 million in energy assistance,” Mazeiks said.
