The Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, Janis Mazeiks, visited the Ministry of Environment, where he met with Sergiu Lazarencu. The officials discussed several environmental issues.
During the meeting, they discussed the environmental projects that the Republic of Moldova is implementing with the support of the EU and the commitments that “we have undertaken to have quality water, more forests, and cleaner air.”
Another important issue discussed was the transposition of environmental legislation. By aligning with European standards, our country will be more resilient to climate change and ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for citizens while stimulating sustainable economic growth.
