Mihail Latisev is the youngest judoka from Moldova to make his Olympic debut in Paris. His colleagues from the Border Police congratulated him, saying, “You showed what it means to be a force.”
The 20-year-old athlete lost to Tato Grigalashvili, the Georgian judoka who has been the world champion in judo for the past three years.
“Thank you, Mihai! You showed what it means to be a force! Regardless of the outcome, your colleagues from the Border Police stand by you, and we know you will continue to shine in other competitions. We are proud of you, Mihail Latisev. You fought a great match but ultimately lost to a strong opponent, Tato Grigalashvili, the world champion for the past three years,” says the Border Police.
Also, the Ministry of Internal Affairs congratulated the young judoka’s performance at the Olympic competition.
