Vadim Krasnoselski wants polling stations on the left bank of the Dniester for the September 2025 parliamentary elections. The separatist leader made the statement in an interview with the Russian state news agency TASS. The official from the self-proclaimed region specified that the authorities fear alleged provocations at the polling stations designated for Transnistrians.
The leader from Tiraspol mentioned that the region has an alleged electoral commission and that the self-appointed authorities possess the necessary mechanisms to organize the voting. At the same time, Krasnoselski stated that he does not rule out provocations, such as bomb threats.

”We have special mechanisms for this. We have our central electoral commission. If any request comes, we will examine it. (…) Regarding provocations, authorities should have investigated them professionally, drawn conclusions, and identified and punished those responsible. I don’t know if that was done or not. What will happen – we’ll see. But there is a risk of new provocations during the elections,” Krasnoselski said.
The constitutional authorities have not yet commented on the separatist leader’s statements. We will provide further relevant details as soon as we receive responses from the government and the Central Electoral Commission.
