Liliana Vitu Resigns as Head of Moldova’s Audiovisual Council

Liliana Vitu has announced her resignation as Chairwoman of the Audiovisual Council (CA), making the announcement on social media on Monday, August 3.

Vițu said her decision is connected to an anticipated change in her professional career.

“I thank my colleagues for their support and dedication over the past nearly five years, helping the national regulatory authority fulfill its mission of serving the public interest and protecting the country’s information space,” Vitu wrote.

The outgoing chairwoman said that during her tenure, the Audiovisual Council became an active participant within European audiovisual regulatory networks, contributed to Moldova’s European integration process, and worked to promote higher-quality audiovisual content that is more responsive to citizens’ concerns while ensuring greater compliance with legal standards.

Vitu served as head of the Audiovisual Council for nearly five years.
