Lithuania will provide the Republic of Moldova with a batch of thermal night vision devices and FPV drones. Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense, Laurynas Kasciunas, announced the delivery during his official visit to Moldova at the invitation of Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatyi.
“Today, we discussed various areas for bilateral cooperation and announced the delivery of thermal night vision devices produced by Lithuanian manufacturers. We aim to ensure further cooperation. FPV drones, also made by our manufacturers, will be delivered, and we believe they will benefit the Republic of Moldova. We hope to complete the delivery by the end of this year,” Laurynas Kasciunas stated at a press conference, IPN reports.
Minister Nosatyi emphasized that the visit by his Lithuanian counterpart provided an excellent opportunity to discuss military cooperation between Moldova and Lithuania and support for modernizing Moldova’s defense institution. It also allows for the identification of new projects.
“As you know, the Republic of Moldova is in the process of European integration, moving towards an area of peace and well-being. This entails economic growth and new investment opportunities for the development of all spheres of life, including a modern defense sector to ensure citizens’ security today and tomorrow,” said Anatolie Nosatyi.
