Several employees of Moldova’s Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) will receive state decorations following a decree signed by President Maia Sandu.
According to the document, SIS employees will be awarded the “Faith in the Homeland” Order, 2nd and 3rd Class, the “Military Merit” Cross, and the “Nicolae Testemițanu” Medal.
The decorations were awarded for “the impeccable performance of official duties, contribution to ensuring state security and a high level of professionalism.”
The identities of the decorated SIS employees have not been made public.
The list of SIS employees nominated for the awards is included in an annex classified as a state secret and is therefore subject to the legal provisions governing the protection of classified information.
