The Head of State, Maia Sandu, sent a congratulatory message on the celebration of Chisinau, the country’s capital.
“Chisinau is the home of many of us, the city of promise for many young people from other districts, but also the face with which we welcome guests. It is the place where traditional cuisine meets the most modern restaurants. Where we find both traffic jams with people in a hurry and the quietness of the alleys in the morning, young people partying and concerts that bring folklore and old songs back to the stage, children barely thinking in strollers, and elderly people enjoying a dance in the park, illegally built blocks, but also old historic houses, famous chestnut trees with strong roots, but also young trees that are just growing. All colors, all memories, and dreams,” Maia Sandu said.
According to the President, “In all its complexity and contrasts, we all love Chisinau and want it to become a European capital.” “I thank all those who care for our city to be cleaner, more beautiful, more friendly. Happy birthday to all those for whom Chisinau means home,” Maia Sandu revealed.
