President Maia Sandu expressed Moldova’s strong desire to rely on Romania as a key partner and emphasized the need for open and constructive cooperation with Bucharest.
The President underscored Moldova’s aspiration for a European Romania that strengthens its role within the EU.
“Those who believe the European Union is not beneficial for Romania should look at us and observe our vulnerabilities and living standards. They should imagine what Romania might have been like without EU membership. We want Romania to remain in the EU and to help us join as soon as possible,” Maia Sandu stated.
She highlighted the broad political support Moldova receives from most political parties in Romania.
