Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi participated in the Bled Strategic Forum from September 2-3. During the event, he emphasized the importance of the European Union’s expansion as a crucial project for peace, security, and prosperity across the entire European continent.
“At the Bled Strategic Forum, which took place in Slovenia, I participated as a speaker in the panel titled ‘A Whole and Free Europe: Expansion as a Strategic Reconciliation Project.’ In my speech, I highlighted the importance of European Union expansion as a vital project for peace, security, and prosperity across the entire European continent,” stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Moldovan official also added that the EU expansion process represents a historic opportunity for the countries of the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. It offers a path for reconciliation and alignment with the core values of the European project: democracy, the rule of law, and respect for human rights.

“I called on our European partners to continue the expansion process, as it is crucial for the security and stability of the entire continent. Moldova’s accession to the great European family is a crucial step and a guarantee that no part of Europe will remain outside the circle of common peace and prosperity. In my closing remarks, I reaffirmed Moldova’s commitment to European integration. I stated that we will continue to work closely with our European partners to ensure a stable and prosperous future for Moldova and our citizens in a united and free Europe,” wrote Mihai Popsoi.
