The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popsoi, attended the 10th edition of the international conference Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The Moldovan official and other foreign ministers attending the conference met with India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The officials exchanged views on the importance of international cooperation. Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister joined the panel The Canvas of Peace: Actions and Aspirations, where he met with ministers from Ukraine, Latvia, and Hungary—Andrii Sybiha, Baiba Braže, and Péter Szijjárto—to discuss peace in Ukraine and the role of Europe and the U.S. in ending the war as soon as possible.
The ministers debated the need for a coordinated strategy to address security challenges and ensure stability and peace in Ukraine and the wider region.

“Russia’s aggression against Ukraine must stop! Now, more than ever, the international community must act together to support Ukraine in the face of this aggression and find a solution that ensures a just peace. The path to peace cannot exist without real security guarantees for Ukraine. In this context, we welcome the discussions in Jeddah and the efforts of the U.S. to stop this war and contribute to lasting peace,’ said Popsoi.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs organizes the Raisina Dialogue annually with the Observer Research Foundation. The conference gathers representatives from government institutions, the business sector, the media, and civil society. It serves as a key platform for discussing global challenges and exploring opportunities for international cooperation.
On March 20, Mihai Popsoi will visit Nepal for official meetings. This visit marks the first time a Moldovan foreign minister has traveled to a South Asian country.
