On July 2, Moldova’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popsoi, met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as part of his first official visit to the country. The two officials discussed bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation.
President Tokayev welcomed the official opening of the Moldovan Embassy in Astana, calling it a significant milestone that reflects both countries’ dedication to deepening friendship and collaboration.
“We also discussed the key reforms we are implementing in Moldova to advance our European path and emphasized that EU accession will strengthen our country’s resilience,” stated Minister Popsoi. He added that President Tokayev extended his greetings and wishes to President Maia Sandu.
