Moldelectrica and Ukrenergo Advance Regional Energy Integration with Cross-Border Agreement

The Moldovan state-owned enterprise Moldelectrica and Ukraine’s national electricity transmission system operator, NPC Ukrenergo, have signed key documents to implement a cross-border capacity allocation mechanism on the Moldova–Ukraine border.

“This action marks further progress towards the continuous development of the regional electricity market and its alignment with the best European practices in interconnection management,” Moldelectrica stated.

The parties will submit the signed agreements for approval to the national regulatory authorities – the ANRE in the Republic of Moldova and NPC Ukrenergo in Ukraine.
