The Republic of Moldova and India are preparing to sign a bilateral agreement to prevent and combat illegal migration, human trafficking, and the unauthorized transport of migrants. The Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration has approved an advisory opinion to initiate negotiations.
The agreement will establish effective and transparent mechanisms for identifying, returning, and readmitting individuals who do not meet the legal conditions to enter or remain in either country. It will also outline migrants’ rights, including access to education, research opportunities, vocational training, and employment.
Both countries will commit to providing reintegration support for their returning citizens.
