Moldova and Israel Sign Legal Cooperation Agreement to Streamline Civil and Commercial Cases

The Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel signed an Agreement on Legal Cooperation in Civil and Commercial Matters during an official meeting in Jerusalem. The accord aims to strengthen bilateral ties and streamline the resolution of court cases between the two countries.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi signed the agreement on behalf of Moldova, while Israeli Minister of Justice Yariv Levin represented Israel.

Under the agreement, courts in both countries will operate within a clear legal framework that allows them to exchange requests for legal assistance, obtain evidence, notify and transmit legal or extrajudicial documents, and enforce each other’s court rulings.

“This agreement will contribute to the faster and more efficient resolution of civil and commercial cases between the two states. It also enables Moldovan and Israeli courts to collaborate directly on evidence requests, legal notifications, and the enforcement of judgments,” Popsoi stated.

The agreement marks a significant step forward in Moldovan-Israeli cooperation and reinforces both countries’ commitment to the rule of law at the international level.
