After a 17-year pause, the Moldovan-Polish Joint Committee for International Road Transport has resumed its activities, holding a meeting in Warsaw. The session concluded with the signing of a protocol that mandates annual meetings of the committee, with the next one scheduled to take place in Chisinau.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the discussions resulted in a nearly 65% increase in road transport permits for operations involving third countries—an important gain for Moldovan transport operators.
The meeting also covered several key topics, including the evolution of trade flows, the use of permits in recent years, the modernization and digitization of the permit system, and the exchange of best practices and technical assistance for implementing public service obligations (PSOs).
