Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu spoke with his Romanian counterpart, Sebastian Burduja. The officials agreed to maintain close cooperation on energy interconnections and joint projects.
They reaffirmed their commitment to strategic collaboration in the energy sector.
Junghietu thanked Romania and Minister Burduja for their continued support, particularly in managing the energy crisis triggered by Gazprom’s halt in gas deliveries to the Transnistrian region.

“It was very important for me that my first external contact was with the Romanian counterpart,” Junghietu stated.
He was sworn in as Moldova’s Energy Minister on February 19, 2024.
