The Republic of Moldova will appoint new ambassadors to Romania, Ukraine, France, and China. President Maia Sandu signed the appointment decrees, which the Official Journal published today.
Victor Chirila will serve as Ambassador to Ukraine, while Mihail Mitu will become Ambassador to Romania.
Lorina Balteanu will take office as Ambassador to France, and Petru Frunze will serve as Ambassador to China.
The president also appointed Vladislav Kulminski, Ambassador to the United States, to serve concurrently as Ambassador to Mexico. Viorel Ursu, Ambassador to Sweden, will concurrently serve as Ambassador to Iceland, Norway, and Finland.
The Official Journal also published today the decree recalling Stefan Gorda from his position as Ambassador to Kazakhstan. In addition, Corina Calugru was recalled from her post as Ambassador to France.
