As of today, Moldovan entrepreneurs can export duty-free or at reduced rates to all European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states—Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. The Free Trade Agreement with EFTA countries is now fully operational, opening new opportunities for Moldovan businesses.
This agreement allows economic agents to expand into the world’s most prosperous markets, reaching over 15 million potential consumers.
“The Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association, known as EFTA, officially comes into force. It means more exports to these countries and increased investments from EFTA states. We are opening new markets for Moldovan products and attracting foreign investments,” the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization announced.
