Moldova Shines at the 25th Anniversary of the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs

UNESCO Headquarters in Paris hosted the 25th anniversary celebration of the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations—a landmark event that gathered global leaders, experts, and advocates of UNESCO’s values.

Iana Stantieru, Secretary General of the European and North American Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, proudly represented the Republic of Moldova. She delivered a well-received speech outlining the Federation’s achievements and strategic development directions.

“The Federation must not only be a space for socializing but also a catalyst for action, inspiration, and development for all member countries. It serves as a real engine of transformation, impacting both civil society and UNESCO member states,” said Stantieru.

She emphasized the commitment to strengthening the international network and promoting the core values of education, culture, science, and peace in local communities.

Joining her was Irina Huba, project assistant at the Women’s Alliance of Moldova, who spoke during the youth-focused session. Huba advocated for greater youth participation in advancing gender equality and engaging in decision-making processes.

Moldova’s participation in this high-level event marks a significant step in asserting its presence on the international stage. Iana Stantieru’s role brought visibility, credibility, and national pride, affirming that Moldova’s voice matters in global conversations on education, inclusion, and peace.
