The Moldova State University (MSU) established a new international partnership with Virginia State University in the United States. On June 19, the MSU Rector Igor Sarov and Virginia State University Professor Ceslav Ciobanu formalized the collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
The agreement outlines joint initiatives in education, research, and culture, as well as exchange programs, academic mobility, and shared student activities.
“This collaboration will create real opportunities for students and professors—from participating in international projects to gaining access to strong academic practices,” stated Rector Igor Sarov.

Maria Hamuraru, Dean of the MSU’s Faculty of Economic Sciences, also attended the event.
This partnership aligns with the MSU’s internationalization strategy and its goal to broaden academic cooperation, opening new horizons for Moldovan youth seeking connection to the global academic sphere.
