The Chinese language will be introduced in educational institutions across the Republic of Moldova following an agreement signed between the Ministry of Education and Research in Chisinau and China’s Ministry of Education, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry, the Chinese side will support the development of curricula, teaching materials, and teacher training through specialized programs.
The agreement also creates opportunities for Moldovan universities to establish study programs dedicated to the Chinese language, in partnership with academic institutions in China. It includes provisions for scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teaching Chinese as an international language, as well as an assessment of the recognition of the international CTCSOL certificate.
Minister of Education Dan Perciun noted that the Republic of Moldova is interested in expanding cooperation with China, particularly in the field of higher education, through the exchange of experiences, joint projects, and initiatives in strategic sectors such as agriculture, IT, and others.
He emphasized that internationalization remains a priority for the Ministry of Education, adding that Moldova is prepared to offer Chinese students opportunities to study at Moldovan universities.
