For the first time, the Republic of Moldova will participate in Burning Man—one of the world’s largest and most unconventional art festivals, held annually in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. This year’s edition runs from August 25 to September 2, 2025, and will gather tens of thousands of participants from around the globe, moldpres.md reports.
Moldova will showcase the interactive installation “Flute from the Future – Naiul Viitorului”, an eco-friendly sound sculpture inspired by the traditional Moldovan pan flute and the work of master musician Constantin Moscovici. The piece reimagines an ancestral instrument in a contemporary form, blending technology and tradition into a multisensory artistic experience.
The creators designed the installation as a bridge between cultural heritage and the future, boldly and innovatively bringing Moldovan identity to the international stage. The sounds generated by the sculpture will immerse visitors in a sonic journey that evokes both the roots and the evolving horizons of Moldovan culture.
