The European Union will provide Moldova with €300 million in pre-financing from the €1.9 billion Growth Pact shortly. MEP Siegfried Muresan announced after meeting with Prime Minister Dorin Recean in Brussels, IPN reports.
The MEP expressed confidence that the Recean-led government would manage the funds responsibly: “They will ensure the money reaches the people who need it most—through investments in infrastructure, roads, schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.”
“We will stand by the Republic of Moldova, just as they have stood by us. Together, we will defend Moldova’s European path and Romania’s,” the EU official emphasized.
