The Republic of Moldova claimed the Balkan U18 Judo Championship title in the mixed-team event after defeating national teams from Romania, Turkey, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to the team victory, Moldovan judokas delivered strong performances in the individual competition, earning 14 medals: eight gold, four silver, and two bronze.
Gabriela Herta, Artiom Rotasniuc, Nelu Malic, Alexandra Chiron, Maria Rusu, Madina Duminica, Dragos Raileanu, and Catalin Plesca won the Balkan championship title.

Marius Minzat, Xenia Vainer, Alexandru Marandici, and Ivan Rotasniuc secured silver medals, while Ovidiu Grancescu and Alexandru Sargheliu earned bronze.
The championship took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ministry of Education and Research provided the financial support that made the national team’s participation possible.
