Moldovagaz announced that Tiraspoltransgaz returned 3 million cubic meters of natural gas to the company on February 26-28, by the contractual loan terms.
In late January, Chisinau approved a loan of 3 million cubic meters of natural gas to the left bank of the Dniester to maintain critical pressure in the region’s pipelines. Tiraspoltransgaz was required to return the gas by March 1 or pay for it.
On January 1, 2025, the Russian company Gazprom suspended natural gas deliveries to Moldovagaz, despite a valid contract until 2026, leaving consumers in the Transnistrian region without gas, heat, and hot water.
