Moldovan actor, screenwriter, and producer Iacov Gribinenko is participating in the filming of “Entropy,” an American action-thriller about time travel. The filming is in Cyprus. The team working on the movie has announced its release for 2025.
On his Facebook page, the actor shared how he managed to get cast, emphasizing that knowledge of English is crucial for an international career in the film industry.
“Back in Moldova, I learned about the casting for an action thriller about time travel, which they planned to film in Cyprus. I sent my portfolio to the casting director. In addition to detailing my creative experience, I demonstrated how I perform action scenes, waving my arms and legs. I knew my English was not great, so I tried to stand out as much as possible. I hoped at least to be an extra, a stunt double, or even a background corpse – I just wanted to be part of the set and see the process from the inside. And imagine, I got an episodic role! I never could have dreamed of that! A cameo in an American movie! I am incredibly happy!”

Iacov also shared his impressions of the filming process, noting the clear schedule and the high level of professionalism of the entire team.
“What do I feel on the set of an American movie? Complete delight and happiness! I did not expect such a level of professionalism. Everything runs like clockwork. There’s a schedule that is followed without delays, even if something doesn’t go according to plan. (How they manage it, I don’t know.) Everyone works seamlessly, and each person knows their role. It’s wonderful to be part of such a professional team. And the most important thing is the atmosphere of love and friendliness. Everybody – the director, cameraman, make-up artist, costume designer, prop maker, actors – is kind, open, and always ready to help, regardless of fatigue or emergencies. Love always reigns! You do your job professionally and derive immense satisfaction from it! I wish every actor from Moldova to have such a fantastic experience!” he said.
