Moldovan exports of agricultural products to the European Union increased almost sixfold over the last four years, government spokesperson Daniel Voda announced today.
Grapes recorded the highest growth among exported products. “Grape exports rose from 12.6 million dollars to 45.14 million dollars in just three years, demonstrating that Moldovan farmers grow high-quality grapes appreciated across Europe,” said Voda.
He also emphasized that Moldova’s overall exports increased significantly in recent years. “In the last four years, as Prime Minister Dorin Recean recently noted, Moldova’s exports of goods grew by almost 50 percent, exported services doubled, and the path toward EU accession provided clear opportunities and predictability for national economic growth, including the creation of new jobs,” Voda added.
