Moldovan athlete Catherine Grabucha won a silver medal at the European Weightlifting Championships. She competed in the weight category up to 45 kg among competitors aged 20-23.
The young weightlifter from Balti lifted 60 kg in snatch and 73 kg in throw and took second place with a total result of 133 kg.
The European Weightlifting Championship is held in Bucharest from July 26 to August 3. The national team of our country at these competitions consists of 16 athletes. The participation of athletes in the event was financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Moldova.
