Moldovan civil servants learn from German experts about EU accession

The head of the Bureau for European Integration (BIE), Ghenadie Marian, and BIE Deputy Head Rodica Jereghi, with 20 civil servants from Chisinau, are participating in a training program in Berlin, Germany, from November 25 to 30. The “Strengthening the Capacities of Moldova’s Public Service for European Union Accession” program is designed to enhance their expertise in the EU integration process.

Organized by the Hertie School University in Berlin in partnership with the State Chancellery, the event is supported financially by the Soros Moldova Foundation and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Moldova. The program also features contributions from international experts.

Key topics addressed during the training include:

  • Management of EU Funds and strengthening Moldova’s absorption capacity during the accession process,
  • Integrity and Rule of Law as essential pillars for reforms and
  • Implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by the government.

The training aims to enhance the efficiency and engagement of Moldova’s public administration in advancing the country’s European integration efforts.
