Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Herman Halushchenko, in Kyiv to discuss energy security, alternative gas supply routes, electricity supply, and energy market integration.
Chisinau’s Energy Ministry announced that Moldova expressed interest in using Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities to build reserves.
The discussions also covered electricity sector collaboration and potential Ukrainian assistance in ensuring Moldova’s electricity supply. The Energy Ministry emphasized maintaining ENTSO-E limits for electricity imports from European countries into Ukraine and Moldova.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation, particularly in advancing shared European integration goals.
The Moldovan delegation, including Energocom representatives, also met with the leadership of D.Trading and Naftogaz Ukraine. The parties acknowledged their strong commercial cooperation and explored opportunities to expand bilateral energy partnerships.
