Moldovan filmmaker wins Cannes Film Festival prize

Moldovan director Oleg Condrea has won the Cannes Film Festival’s “Cannes 7th Art Awards” for the best script for a dramatic short film. 

He won the award for his film Tangled Tails, which tells the story of a wise dog who faces serious problems, including threatening his family.

“I am honored to announce that my screenplay won Best Dramatic Short Screenplay at the Cannes 7th Art Awards! Only here I truly felt surrounded by like-minded people from worldwide,” the young man wrote on social media.

In addition, between December and May, the script won more than 80 awards at major festivals in New York, Florence, Berlin, Paris, and London.
